Rowan has practiced theatre practically all their life: preschool to present day. Theatre and the arts have been a lifelong pursuit and a calling for them. As a child, Rowan acted in multiple productions before moving into technical theatre in high school, and finally, getting their Bachelor's degree in Theatre (Design & Production), focusing on stage management. Being able to work creatively in a team, tell important and sometimes ground-breaking stories, and inspire an audience in a setting that is both ephemeral and deeply moving are what inspire them to continue their work every day.

So much of theatre is being able to work creatively, patiently, and with kindness for a team, no matter where they are placed in a hierarchy. Rowan believes that an important element to having this kind of coordination between design teams, performers, and directing teams is a stage manager who is kind, understanding, and wants to work closely with others. They work hard to practice and embody these traits and always strive to maintain a level head and positive attitude in any situation, no matter how dire.
